Eben Ezer Auxiliary
The Eben Ezer Auxiliary was established to “enhance the lives of the Eben Ezer neighbors through fundraising and promotion of public relations and goodwill in any way possible. Support from the Auxiliary plays a critical role in the success and development of the Eben Ezer campus and programs.
Major projects include:
- Burrito Sales: The Auxiliary prepares and makes burritos, green chili, cabbage pockets, grebbel, and other delicious items for sale at various times of the year.
- Gift Store: The Auxiliary maintains and supplies the items in the NEW Gift Shop at the Care Center on the Brush campus. The Auxiliary members will help with the operations of the store. The proceeds help to fund the activities of the Auxiliary, which support the activities and needs of the residents.
- Special Events: Our annual Luau, holiday parties for the neighbors, Bible study, arts and crafts
- Eben Ezer Cemetery: Restoration and maintenance of our historic cemetery, where Pr. Jens Madsen, his wife, and several other pastors, brothers, and deaconesses are laid to rest.
The Eben Ezer Auxiliary meets every other month each year, along with gathering to work on projects.
Volunteers
Volunteers create a positive environment for our residents and are a real asset to our communities. Even though a volunteer’s job may not be difficult, their efforts bring meaning and growth to the lives of our neighbors. Volunteers are essential to Eben Ezer’s ministry.
There are many jobs that volunteers can do ranging from answering the telephone to visiting someone who is lonely. Volunteers can take a scenic stroll with someone who is wheelchair bound or they can accompany residents on a shopping trip or to a special event. There are many things to do, and volunteers play an important role in getting all these things done and add value to the lives of our residents.
Your efforts can make a big difference in the lives of so many. Please donate your talents and a little bit of effort to make someone who is feeling lonely and forgotten feel important again.
If you would like to become a volunteer, call 970-842-2861 X9246 or email volunteer@ebenezer-cares.org.

Pet Policy
Our vision as an Eden Alternative home is to eliminate loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. Loving companionship is one of the values we strive to offer our neighbors. It’s the antidote to loneliness, and Elders deserve easy access to human and animal companionship. Our neighbors enjoy the company of animals and we encourage continued visits with your pet/pets.
Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center has an established Pet Policy to ensure the safety of our neighbors, team members, and visitors.
Please complete the forms necessary and return to Shaire Chavez. We look forward to your continued pet visits and want to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Shaire at (970) 842-2861 ext. 9246 or email at schavez@ebenezer.org.

Junior Volunteers

The Jr Volunteer program is very active during the summer months when school is not is session, along with school breaks and the 5th day of the school week. You are invited to join our Jr volunteer program if you are ten years old or have completed the fifth grade.
