Eben Ezer
Eben Ezer Today

Into a New Millenium: 2000 - Present
In this new century, Eben Ezer continues to meet the changing needs of our community while remaining committed to its mission of faith-based, not-for-profit professional care. The skilled nursing area is no longer the largest group of people served. Eben Ezer is a multi-level care community providing service for needs ranging from fully independent living to intensive skilled nursing care.
Today Eben Ezer is the most comprehensive community of its kind in northeastern Colorado providing older adults and persons with special needs, a wide range of lifestyles and health care options to maximize their independence without sacrificing safety. In addition, available on the campus is federally subsidized low rent, older adult housing. From technology in the home with products like Lifeline and Medication Dispensing machines, to a full continuum of housing options on the beautiful campus, Eben Ezer offers comfort and care by professional caregivers.
Short-term rehabilitation care programs available include physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Led by therapists, contracted from Infinity Rehab, the therapy programs assure participants life, at their highest level of functional ability. The activity department has general programs as well as activity leaders for each neighborhood, who plan activities according to the specific needs of neighbors.

All Saints Church occupies the center of the Eben Ezer campus both physically and spiritually. Concern for the total person, spirit as well as body, has been a core difference between similar care communities and Eben Ezer since its inception. Spiritual care is ensured by the work of our Chaplaincy department, which provides spiritual programming, individual pastoral care for neighbors, and a liaison between residents and the home congregation.
In an industry dominated by large corporations, Eben Ezer continues to stand alone as an independent not-for-profit corporation maintaining affiliation with the Rocky Mountain Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Its faith-based mission is more important than ever in making a statement about what health care for older adults should be.
Pastor Larson, past administrator of Eben Ezer, echoed the words of Pastor Jens Madsen, who firmly believed that his vision had been made a reality by the grace of God and by the support of loyal workers and volunteers. Larson wrote in the Phoebe newsletter, "This spiritual foundation is what sets the ministry of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center apart from the other long term continuous care communities. We believe that those who serve here, as employees and volunteers, do so because God has called them to this service" (Fall, 2001).
In 2023, the Eben Ezer organization and team were feeling very grateful. The global COVID pandemic most definitely caused some angst, but our strong team of professional caregivers and support team members strapped on their masks and approached each new day and each new challenge with grit. Eben Ezer endured a lot but we emerged stronger than ever.
In November of 2024, the organization took a leap of faith and acquired four thriving assisted living buildings in northeast Colorado. This acquisition allowed Eben Ezer to expand it's care and services to have additional prsence in the Fort Morgan, Sterling, and Yuma. This acquisiton was an item on the organization's strategic plan. The organization continues to be ready to grow when the right opportunity presents.
